Karen Van Gilder, MS, 500 RYT

Karen has been practicing yoga since 2002 when she joined a community class in Paonia, CO. Karen’s legs collapsed the first time she found Warrior II, and yet, it all felt so right, she continued practicing…and practicing. Karen reconnected with yoga in 2014 after a life-changing injury and took the advice of a friend to attend yoga teacher training at Kripalu in Stockbridge, MA. She received her 200-hour teacher certificate in 2014 and her 500-hour certification in 2019. She has studied meditation and pranayama with Kripalu legacy staff, Detox Yoga at Yoga Medicine, and completed the Kripalu Yoga in the Schools certification in June of 2018. She has taught yoga and mindfulness to kids of all ages and adults of all abilities and inclinations and lives to spread the message of self-love and self-observation without judgement.
